Mormons - Discussion continues...

Discussion Questions
Meghan has given me the questions for our upcoming discussion. Here they are:
1. Do you believe the Catholic church would have accepted "the pill" if it had been presented as a cancer prevention drug rather than as a "natural" contraceptive?
2. What do you believe is "natural" -- John Rock's theory of what's "natural", Staramann's theory of "natural", or something else?
3. Should religion influence or inform personal decisions such as sexuality and use of contraceptives?
4. What do you think of one of Rock's last quotes -- "Heaven and Hell, Rome, all the Church stuff -- that's for the solace of the multitude"? Do you agree or disagree?

Discussion Follow Up
Hey all,
I found this great little book and thought I would share with you. I know that there were a lot of unanswered questions after our last discussion. This book was written by a Mormon, the voice that we did not have at our discussion.
You can find more information about this book here

The New Yorker, March 13, 2000, p. 52
The article has been e-mailed to everybody. Discussion questions will be posted as soon as possible.
For those who are interested, this week's New Yorker has an article related to our discussion here.
